U.S. CATTLE REPORT: Strong prices continue this week at OKC West; Daily drop down 18 cents; Boxed beef bounces up over $268; Hogs up $7.10 since June 30th
OKC WEST: The largest string sold this week at OKC West was 188 steers (781#) at $169.50. The second largest string was 157 steers (777#) at $170.50
Green Again... Since August LC is big time discount to cash prices – which made another who average high last week – it will get more and more difficult to press the August contract. Last week’s average price was north of $146 just a bit and today’s settlement in August LC was $134.50 (The Beef)

NATIONAL STEER TRACKER: The largest steer string sold on Wednesday on the National Steer Tracker (700-899#) was 188 steers (781#) from El Reno, Oklahoma at $169.50. The average price for the top 10 steer strings sold on Wednesday was $168.70, compared to $165.03 on Tuesday
CME LIVESTOCK: Live Cattle: $134.50 (+1.575); Feeder Cattle: $173.30 (+0.60); Hogs: $109.20 (+3.25); Milk: $21.51 (-0.17) (Hogs up $7.10 since June 30th)
CME GRAINS: Corn: $7.4425 (+8.25); Soybeans: $15.8025 (+5.00); Wheat: $7.9225 (-1.50); Cotton: $96.39 (-4.99) (Cotton down more than $28 since June 20th)
