NATIONAL CATTLE TRACKER: The largest steer and heifer string sold this week was 587 steers (784#) from Yankton, South Dakota at $171.50. The second largest string was 237 steers (785#) from Wildorado, Texas at $155.50 (VIEW REPORT)
NATIONAL CALF TRACKER: The largest calf string sold this week was 172 heifers (455#) from El Reno, Oklahoma at $168.50. The average price paid this week for the top 10 calf strings was $206.85, compared to $196.65 last week (VIEW REPORT)
NATIONAL STEER TRACKER: The largest steer string sold this week on the National Steer Tracker (700-899#) was 587 steers (784#) from Yankton, South Dakota at $171.50. The average price for the top 10 steer strings (700-899#) sold this week was $162.85, compared to $164.26 last week (VIEW REPORT)
BEEF PRODUCTION: Weekly production reported at 562.5 million pounds, up 19.6% from last week, up 0.2% from last year (EWMP)
DAIRY PRODUCTS: Total cheese output (excluding cottage cheese) was 1.15 billion pounds, 0.9 percent above October 2020 and 1.1 percent above September 2021 (VIEW REPORT)
