NATIONAL STEER TRACKER: The largest steer string sold on Monday on the National Steer Tracker (700-899#) was 71 steers (769#) from Tina, Missouri at $183.00. The average price for the top 10 steer strings sold on Monday was $177.98
NATIONAL CATTLE TRACKER: The largest steer and heifer string sold on Monday was 120 steers (920#) from Carthage, Missouri at $164.10. The second largest string was 95 steers (473#) from Gainesville, Missouri at $219.50
NATIONAL CALF TRACKER: The largest calf string sold on Monday was 95 steers (473#) from Gainesville, Missouri at $219.50. The average price paid on Monday for the top 10 calf strings was $201.10
USDA estimates daily cattle slaughter at 119K head, compared to 124K last week and 113K last year. (Mon)
