Holly and the Staff at North Platte Livestock Auction would like to announce that we have successfully settled on delivery of our first video auction in June and our July video market was very strong. Our market was very comparable to Superior, Western and Northern, if not up in many spots. We had buyer in attendance at the ring, on the internet as well as on the buyer phone lines.

Prior to the sale, the staff had downloaded the video on to dvauction.com. From Friday afternoon to Tuesday morning the video had 763 hits and the sale page had 1091 hits. The internet was very active during the preview time and many of the buyers who were viewing the internet from Friday to Tuesday were either here in person, on the phone or on the internet.

There were 322 viewers on the internet during the sale, with 22 bids accepted and 6 purchases were made. The field men on the phones had a total of 46 calls with one purchase and too many bids to account for. The remainder of the bids came from the buyers in the ring.

1400 head were offered on the video sale. We had a range of weight from 470# to 975#, both steers and heifers. The supply being offered consisted of 59% steers and 41% hfr with 67% weighing over 600#. Delivery dates ranged from current to late October.
